Hebe Elsna, also known as Dorothy Phoebe Ansle, had her first play The Season's Greetings produced by The Group Theatre in 1953. She also wrote 97 novels, mostly historical romances, including Take Pity on Youth, Beyond Reasonable Doubt and The King's Bastard.
