Martin Boylan

Born in Belfast, Martin Boylan emigrated to Canada in the 1960s and returned to Dublin in the '70s. Having written many radio plays during his stay in Canada, he began to write stage plays on his return to Ireland. His first stage play, 'Mick and Ed', was produced by the Peacock Theatre in 1979. Work not listed here includes 'Georgina', winner of the OZ Whitehead Award for playwriting, and 'The Making of Father Sullivan', performed by the Anglo-Irish Theatre in Tuebingen, Germany. Martin Boylan recently published his first novel, 'The Jealous God'. He lives in Dublin.
