John Kelly
1932 - 2006
Born in Dublin in 1932, John Kelly worked primarily as a visual artist. He was director of the Graphic Studio in Dublin for more than 10 years and was a founding member of the Black Church Print Studio. He lectured in printmaking at National College of Art & Design. He represented Ireland at Cagnes-sur-Mer in 1977, where he won first prize. He has had numerous solo exhibitions and has participated in many Irish and international group exhibitions. He was a member of the Royal Hibernian Academy, he exhibited work annually at the RHA. He was a member of Aosdana.
