An imaginary zoo somewhere in the British Isles.
Taken from the wild in Africa and held in a British zoo, Charlie fulminates against humans. Meanwhile the director of the cash-strapped zoo is in talks with a sinister South African geneticist who has plans to mate Charlie and create a new superbreed.
