Robin Glendinning
The public bar of the Imperial Hotel, the rehearsal room at the Patrician Hall and other locations in Millersbridge, a rural Irish town.
Roly, a university graduate recently returned to his home town, ambitiously adapts 'The Cherry Orchard' to compare Millersbridge with Chekhov's Russia. His version, 'The Bramley Orchard', meets with resistance from others, including a writer on the local newspaper.
