Zoë Seaton Jill Holmes Kate Batts
Two bag ladies - one Catholic, the other Protestant - have turned their backs on a divisive society in favour of an anonymous, nomadic lifestyle. Bridget began life as a farmer's daughter destined to marry her childhood sweetheart; Emily was born into a world of privilege, power and eligible young men. Both have ended up alone on the road, outsiders with the freedom to mock the society that created them.
